101+ Best-Ever Workshop
Projects...
Tuesday, October 13th, 2009
I was once
again honored to have one of my projects published
by
Wood Magazine. Their latest special interest
publication,
101+ Best-Ever Workshop Projects, covers a
variety of projects for making shop life easier,
safer and more organized. Included are pictures and
plans for jigs, organizers, supports, storage
accessories and tool and lumber racks to name a few.
The ideas come from members of the Wood staff as
well as readers like me who want to promote
woodworking and share their ideas with others.
Featured in this publication
is my chisel rack which is shown below in Figure 1.
This rack is designed to hold all my lathe tools and
finer chisels via a magnetic bar such that all sharp
edges are in a single plane.

The handles are supported by a
piece of 3/4" pine that has been dished to receive
and space each tool. This rack also provides
storage for my calipers and squares.

Robert Burgoyne, also known as "Burgie",
has been doing woodworking for nearly 30
years. He started learning at an early
age in his grandfather's garage and
continued while working with his father
in construction. The hobby has now
become a business with Creative
Landscape Accents. Burgie builds
high quality woodworking projects for
the outdoors and also enjoys making
decorative accent pieces for inside the
house. While not working in his shop
doing woodworking Burgie enjoys
computers, restoring his old
1964
Chevy C60 2-ton dump truck and
riding his Harley-Davidson Road King
throughout beautiful Colorado.
