It's been a long time
coming...but I finally got around to building a
heavy-duty woodworking bench. Now, bear in mind that
the purist might not agree with my version because
it is not made of Maple or other hardwood and won't
necessarily have all the fancy bells and whistles
associated with a classic woodworking bench.
Nevertheless, a bench crafted for your specific
requirements and a product of your creativity is a
classic in and of itself. So in the end my new bench
will be a reflection of my inspiration and provide
me with a very heavy and stable work surface.

Great Garage Makeovers...

Yesterday evening I arrived back
home following a 10-day visit to see family back in
Boston. I was pleasantly surprised to see that my
workbench
was selected for inclusion in
Wood
Magazine's
Great
Garage Makeovers publication. Another shot
of my workbench is shown below in Figure 1.
